The Quebec Police Ethics Committee has ordered a review of the conduct of three provincial police officers who posed as protesters at the summit of the three North American leaders in Montebello, Que., in August 2007.

The ruling comes after the police ethics commissioner rejected a complaint in May 2009 filed by a union leader whose members took part in demonstrations at the summit.

Malaysian police launch anti-c

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Malaysia has launched a campaign to wipe out corruption in the police force, requiring all policemen to wear badges with anti-graft messages and post similar stickers in patrol vehicles.

A total of 50,000 button badges with words "Saya anti-rasuah (I' m against corruption) and car stickers which read "Lapor Jika Ada Rasuah" (Report if there is corruption) have been distributed to police contingents, local newspaper The Star reported Thursday.

"With the badges and stickers prominently visible, we hope the public will not be party to corrupt practices," Deputy Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan was quoted as saying, adding that disciplinary actions would be taken against any police personnel who failed to pin the badge above his or her name tag.

Meanwhile, four types of banners have also been distributed to all state and district police headquarters. The banners bear messages like "Don't give or take bribes," "Bribe the police? You will be prosecuted," "Corruption does not pay" and "Honorable police above corruption. "

Musa, who was wearing the badge himself, said the anti-corruption campaign would be a permanent feature in the police force and advised all personnel to serve with integrity.
