Jackie Selebi has broken his silence amid fresh allegations of corruption against him - slamming them as "downright rubbish of the highest order".

In an exclusive interview, the national police commissioner on Monday suggested corruption and collusion claims could be aimed at toppling him, weakening the police service and disrupting Interpol, of which he is president.

CMC won't release report into

The Crime and Misconduct Commission (CMC) says it will not publicly release a confidential 2008 report into Queensland Police Service (QPS) officer misconduct on the Gold Coast.

Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson yesterday confirmed the QPS received a report from the CMC two years ago that was sparked by an investigation involving Gold Coast officers.

Commissioner Atkinson says the QPS has acted on the report which made more than 30 recommendations.

"The police service is totally committed to eradicating improper behaviour," he said.

The revelation of the Grinspoon report comes after the corruption watchdog raided the Surfers Paradise Police Station and other properties last weekend as part of an investigation into alleged police misconduct on the Gold Coast.

The CMC says it will not release the 2008 report because it contains sensitive information.

Commissioner Atkinson wants the latest investigation completed by the end of April
