Did Police Officers Protect Dr
Drew Peterson spoke out again Thursday night to "America's Most Wanted," saying he is angry at his missing fourth wife, Stacy, whose disappearance has generated a media frenzy and mounting suspicion that he is involved.
"I hope she exposes herself to be alive and well," Peterson said on the TV show.
Peterson maintains he had nothing to do with Stacy's disappearance or third wife Kathleen Savio's death. But police have named Peterson as a suspect in Stacy's death and this week they also exhumed the body of Savio to conduct a new autopsy.

Durham Officers Resign After S
Although the Durham Police says they are awaiting DNA results, two Durham Police Department officers, including a sergeant, have resigned after a sexual misconduct investigation.
The Department said that Sergeant Keith Cheeks and Officer Demond Gooch resigned after the police department finished its investigation into "alleged sexual misconduct."
However, the department says that the sexual misconduct claims were not substantiated and that the officers resigned when other "misconduct" was revealed during the investigation.
According to the Durham Police Department, during the first week of October 2007, Durham vice squad officers were told by a woman that she had engaged in acts of prostitution with officers from the Durham Police Department.
Police say that the department’s Special Operations Division started an undercover criminal investigation of the allegations.
"A lengthy investigation has yet to substantiate the woman’s claims," said Durham Police Department spokesperson Kammie Michaels in a statement to the media about the incident.
The department said they are "still awaiting the results of DNA testing before concluding the criminal investigation." However, Durham Police did not say what the nature of the items being tested related to in the case. Usually DNA testing is performed by the NC State Bureau of Investigation labs in Raleigh.
In November, the department's internal affairs divisions also launched an investigation into the alleged sexual misconduct.
"Investigators interviewed numerous people, including the implicated officers, but none of the allegations made by the woman could be substantiated," said the department about the IA investigation.
The department said it had uncovered other misconduct by the officers.
"It was discovered during the course of the investigations that two officers, Sergeant Keith Cheeks and Officer Demond Gooch, had been involved in misconduct unrelated to the original allegations while employed by the Durham Police Department.
The officers resigned before the investigation was over and before the department announced that the claims by the woman were "unsubstantiated."
Chief Jose Lopez Sr., who just took over as head of the Durham Police Department, commented on the case through a statement to the media.
"When those processes uncover conduct unbecoming a Durham police officer it is important that the conduct and the officers be admonished," he said. "...I have full confidence in the integrity of our investigative processes."
