ACE arrests police officer ‘re

LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has caught Gulberg police station sub-inspector Allah Ditta ‘red-handed’ taking a Rs 10,000 bribe and has sent him to jail on judicial remand.
According to an official handout issued on Tuesday, Muhammad Boota, a resident of Lahore, submitted an application with ACE director general Muhammad Aslam Ghumman in which he alleged that his son had been implicated in a false case and that Allah Ditta was asking for money to conduct a fair investigation.
The ACE director general formed a team to arrest Allah Ditta. The team arrested Allah Ditta while taking the bribe from Boota at Liberty Chowk bus stop. A case was registered against him and the money was recovered.
