A Warwickshire police officer has admitted misconduct over the death of a mother stabbed by her ex-partner.
Colette Lynch, 24, was killed by Percy Wright in Rugby on 3 February, 2005.
Pc Charlotte Hall, 30, admitted failing to perform her duties "diligently and conscientiously" when called to Ms Lynch's home two days earlier.

Zimbabwe police tried to embar
HARARE – Police in Zimbabwe deliberately tried to embarrass former finance minister Christopher Kuruneri when he was arrested on corruption charges in 2004, a court in Harare has heard.
Kuruneri was in a state of shock and humiliation when he was arrested by junior police officers on April 24, 2004 the former minister’s defence lawyer Jonathan Samkange told the court on Tuesday.
The former finance minister was the first top-level government official to be arrested as President Robert Mugabe began a highly-publicised drive against corruption.
Kuruneri is accused of contravening Zimbabwe’s tough laws on hard currency by siphoning large sums of foreign currency out of the country to pay for a luxury house in Cape Town in South Africa.
The minister claims the money was free funds - earned while doing consultancy work for a Spanish company - and hence not subject to Zimbabwean controls.
His trial resumed Tuesday, with the court trying to establish the circumstances surrounding his arrest, the state-controlled Herald newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Kuruneri’s lawyer wants a warned and cautioned statement obtained from the minister on the day of his arrest to be declared non-admissible as evidence because of the way police obtained it.
“You wanted to dramatise the arrest of the accused to embarrass him,” lawyer Samkange was quoted as saying.
Since Kuruneri’s arrest, a few high-ranking officials have also been slapped with corruption charges, though none are political heavyweights.
Critics say the anti-corruption drive is being used selectively, and only expendable figures are being targeted. – Sapa-dpa.
