Police officer charged over Go

A New South Wales police officer has been charged after an altercation outside a nightclub at Goulburn earlier this month.

Police say the 35-year-old senior constable, who was off-duty at the time was allegedly involved in an argument with a 23-year-old man on the dance floor of the nightclub on August 4.

Police say the 23-year-old was removed from the premises.

They say the police officer left a short time later and the men were allegedly involved in an altercation.

The officer, who is not attached to Goulburn Local Area Command, was attending a course at the police college.
